Hello there!  I'm Bethany Smith, dedicated to providing assistance and guidance. With a lifelong commitment to education, I specialize in helping students discover their passions, secure financial resources for college, and ultimately find meaningful employment. The primary purpose of pursuing higher education is to obtain a job, and that's precisely what I strive to support students in achieving.Here on this website, you'll find insights into my professional background and hopefully discover valuable resources to aid your own students.

Currently, I hold the position of Director at the Educational Opportunity Center TRIO program, which is based at Western Kentucky University. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, as well as a Master's in Arts in Education with a focus on Counseling and Student Affairs, both from Western Kentucky University. Over the course of 15 years, I served as an Academic Advisor at WKU, and for 4 and a half years, I worked as an Academic Coordinator for the Educational Talent Search program. While I briefly pursued a College/Career coach position at Barren County High School for a year, I soon realized my true passion lies in Higher Education and eagerly returned to WKU.I have a genuine love for students and take immense joy in guiding them on their journey to success.
